Volunteering Information
Volunteer Commitment
As with the previous season:
- Members with one athlete in the U10-U19 divisions must complete 10 volunteer credits throughout the season.
- Members with one athlete in Active Start must complete 5 volunteer credits throughout the season.
- Members with additional athletes in any division must complete an additional 5 credits per athlete to fulfil their volunteer commitment.
- Failure to comply with the volunteer commitments will result in a $400 fee being applied to a member's RAMP account.
- Payment must be made by the end of May 2024 in order to remain in good standing for the next season. Failure to resolve may inhibit future RAMP registrations.
Volunteering is required for the success of each athlete, their teams, and the association. Volunteer credits will be allocated to the volunteer opportunity at the time of the volunteer request.
Examples of Volunteer Opportunities:
- FSRA Executive Position (10 credits)
- Team staff such as: Coach, Assistant Coach, Trainer, or Manager, Team Treasurer (i.e. Team Staff) of any FSRA team* (10 credits unless role is split between members)
- Come Try Ringette
- Neighbor Day
- Canada Day Parade
- FSRA Diamond Ring
- Attendance of non-FSRA Concession Event, as required by FSMSA
- Other event, as prior approved and at the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator
* Team staff applications for the position must be received prior to the deadline, required coursework is completed and verified, and the commitment to attend the required events is completed.
