Camps started during the week of September 7, so the majority of players started on the ice that week or weekend. As a result, the majority of the players were on the ice for 11 weeks +/- out of a 25 week +/- regular season.
With the exception of Active Start players, most of the players were on the ice for 11 weeks +/- out of an anticipated 25 weeks, as mentioned above, using 44% of the anticipated ice time. Instead of using 44% of the fees, FSRA has decided to use reserve funds in our account to cover the full years administrative costs, sanitization products, Black Gold League (BGL) fees, and Ringette Alberta/Ringette Canada fees. By using funds within our reserve, we were able to reimburse parents 2/3 (67%) of their registration fees.
Active Start players were on the ice 6 weeks out of a total of 18 weeks and were refunded accordingly.
No. At this time, Ringette Alberta has only invoiced FSRA 50% of their fee and have indicated that no further invoices are coming. This fee covers insurance, as well as, Ringette Canada fees. Black Gold League (BGL) is refunding approximately 2/3 of the fee collected to cover expenses to date.
Starting on March 15th 2021 refunds will begin to be processed. Refunds will be made to the credit card used in the original registration process.
If you have paid registration fees via cash or cheque, FSMSA-Ringette will issue a cheque payable to the RAMP account holder.
If you will be receiving a cheque, please make sure that the FSMSA Office has your current address on file, otherwise the cheques will be mailed to the address in RAMP.
Lastly, please also be aware that credit card refunds may take up to 2 weeks to appear on your credit card transactions.
Sincerely on behalf of the FSRA board,
Rob Peirson
FSRA President
